Katy Perry’s former #1, “California Gurls,” holds at #2, while Taio Cruz advances one spot from 4-3 with “Dynamite.” Further down the Top 10, Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” rebounds 7-5, and Enrique Iglesias’s “I Like It” jumps 8-6. Elsewhere in the chart, Usher leaps 7 spots from 19-12 with his new single, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” while Katy Perry has the week’s Hot Shot Debut with the title track from her upcoming album, “Teenage Dream,” entering at #20.

Katy Perry wants to live in London with her fiance Russell Brand.
The ‘California Gurls’ singer loves the UK capital – where Brand lived before heading to the US to be with Perry – because it is such an exciting city.
“I think I would probably go to London, and not just because of the fact I’ve got connections there, but because I like the constant evolution of the style and everything is so new,” she said.
“Sometimes I think I’d like to live in Japan but I don’t know how I would get on there because I don’t speak Japanese, I’d probably end up singing in the street with a little hat saying, ‘Please support me.’ ” • Read full story…

Katy Perry wants to clone herself so she doesn’t have to work so hard.
The 25-year-old singer has been extremely busy in the past few months, promoting her new album Teenage Dream, shooting music videos and hosting several awards shows. She is also trying to plan her upcoming wedding to British comedian Russell Brand and is struggling to find time to keep up with all her commitments.

Popstar Katy Perry said that if she ever gets a chance to lock lips with a girl, she would do it with actress Natalie Portman.
The 25-year-old singer has a crush on The Other Boleyn Girl star and thinks it would be incredible to kiss her, FemaleFirst reported online.

So the insane British actor took to Twitter to apologize to both God and Katy Perry for shooting the drunken church scene in the remake of “Arthur.”
“I’m doing a pretend wedding in a real church while acting drunk,” he tweeted. “Forgive me, Lord.”
Then he sent the Tweet to Katy Perry. While God is not a known Twitter user, Katy Perry is. “RUSSELL EDWARD BRAND!” she replied in all caps. You know it’s not a good thing when they use the whole name. • Read full story…

So, apparently Katy Perry, at least in her new song, thinks it’s awesome “You think I’m pretty / Without any makeup on / You think I’m funny / When I tell the punchline wrong.” To which I say, the hell without all that:
I realize I’m in the midst of a bout of humorlessness here, and it’s just a stupid pop song. I like me some Lady Gaga, and her lyrics aren’t Shakespeare either (though the nonsense chanting in “Bad Romance” has something compelling about it). But I kind of don’t care. The first part of the trope in Perry’s song, the whole “OMG he sees something about me that the rest of the world is too shallow to notice!” thing is simply annoying and incoherent. • Read full story…

Katy Perry has broken a US radio record for her new single ‘Teenage Dream’.
The song, which is also the title of Perry’s sophomore album, has been added to 87 radio stations over the course of a week – the highest number of adds for a song ever.
The track was released on Monday to US iTunes and has soared to number three, two places ahead of her last single ‘California Gurls’.
Her debut album One Of The Boys is also on course to return to the US album chart after rising to number five on iTunes.
Last month, Katy Perry broke the US airplay record after ‘California Gurls’ received 11,816 plays in a week – an everage of 90 plays per radio station.

While in New York, Katy Perry sat down with YouTube host Lisa Nova to answer some of her fans’ questions via her YouTube Channel. 20,000 viewers submitted their questions via the YouTube tool Moderator for the 30-minute clip titled “YouTube Presents An Interview With Katy Perry,” and 400,000 votes were cast to pick the top questions.
The queries ranged from “Has anyone who never liked you come crawling back to you after being famous?” and “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart,” she replied) to “What color nail polish do you plan on wearing on your wedding date?” and “What’s the next song you’re going to release?”
“I just shot the music video for the second video off of this record called ‘Teenage Dream’ which so happen to be a song called ‘Teenage Dream’,” Perry said in response to the latter. “It is gonna be completely different from ‘California Gurls.’ With ‘Teenage Dream’ you’ll see a very raw, almost vulnerable… I had to wear so many less layers of makeup. • Read full story…

Katy Perry brushes her teeth at least three times daily because she never wants to be accused of having bad breath.
The pop star admits she was too poor to take her dental hygiene seriously when she was a child, but Britney Spears videos made her start brushing religiously – and now she’s proud of her minty fresh breath and shining smile.
In a new YouTube.com interview, she says, “I brush my teeth all the time. I wanted them to be, like, Britney Spears-white. I used to grow up seeing her music videos and be like, ‘What does she do? Does she get a new set of teeth all the time? They’re so white.’

Two weeks ago, Katy Perry took to YouTube asking her fans to submit questions for a Q&A session. And they did, flooding the site with more than 20,000 queries about, well, pretty much everything.
On Tuesday (July 27), Perry took a stab at actually responding to a fraction of them in a 30-minute interview that finally gave us answers to such burning questions as “What is your favorite food?” (beets and arugula), “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart”), and, perhaps most importantly, “Would you ever consider posing for Playboy?” (“I would probably say no”).

Good news for all Glee fans out there as the shows hot boys will be co-hosting this year’s Teen Choice Awards with the lovely, not to mention gorgeous Katy Perry.
Usmagazine.com have exclusively revealed that the California Gurls star will be joined by Chris Colfer (Kurt), Mark Salling (Puck), Kevin McHale (Artie) and Cory Monteith (Finn) as she hosts the awards ceremony on August 9.
Acts slated to perform at the event include Jason Derulo and Katy’s ex-boyfriend, Travis McCoy. Maybe Katy asked for the Glee boys to be there for back up?!
Robert Pattinson, Leighton Meester and the Kardashian sisters are also set to attend. We wonder if KStew will accompany her rumoured beau down the red carpet?
