Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s romance must be the real thing after reports suggest the US singer wants Brand to meet her parents.
Perry is said to be worried that her evangelical Christian parents might not approve of her relationship with lothario Russell because of his womanising ways.
However, the I Kissed A Girl singer wants her folks to meet the funnyman to prove that he is good enough for her.
A source has stated: “Katy is as besotted with Russell as he is with her.”
They added: “Katy is sure that, after they get used to him, they would approve of Russell, but she wants to get that initial meeting out of the way as early as she can.”The couple reportedly met after this year’s VMAs in New York and have been inseparable since going public with their romance last week.
After a romantic break to Thailand, Brand met his new lover in Paris where they were spotted holding hands in the front row of Paris Fashion Week.
Although Katy might be besotted with Russell, one man who isn’t so impressed with Perry’s new man is her ex-boyfriend Travis McCoy.
The Gym Class Heroes star, who recently split with Katy has allegedly been ranting to friends saying that Perry is ‘still a goodie two-shoes’ and ladies man Russell will eventually ‘get bored’.
A pal of the singer has said: “He’s livid… but getting a sick kick out of the idea their relationship will go under due to Russell’s philandering.”
