Things, apparently, are getting serious between Russell Brand and Katy Perry and there are reports that the actor is ready to pop the question to the songstress. The engagement speculation is prompted by the fact that Russell has turned his back on his womanizing ways ever since he dated Katy. He even has expressed his willingness to settle down and start a family with her.

A source close to the British star has been quoted by Hollyscoop as stating, “We’ve never seen him like this. He always has a woman on his arm, or in his bed, and hasn’t been interested in monogamy.” The source then adds, “But this is different – we all think it won’t be long before he marries Katy. I’m waiting for a call to say they are in that Little Chapel in Vegas and have run off to get married.”Russell’s friend Noel Gallagher chimes in, “He’s a changed man, Russell.” No comment has been made just yet by Russell himself, but he just can’t stop praising his leading lady. “To be honest I haven’t stopped smiling. She’s a lovely girl and it’s going really, really well. In fact I’ve never felt more settled in all my life. Katy is fantastic. I’m really happy,” so he gushes.

Russell Brand began dating Katy Perry after their meeting at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards in September. Playing it coy at first, they finally went public as a couple in October, making an appearance together at a party hosted by fashion powerhouse Fendi in Paris.
