Katy Perry: New songs are soppier

Katy Perry has revealed she’s shunning her “fruity pin-up” image to sing love songs.

The 25-year-old I Kissed A Girl singer is so loved up with fiance Russell Brand she told Rolling Stone magazine she is ditching the fun, flirty lyrics of her hit first album One Of The Boys, and her new album is 50 per cent love songs.

Katy said: “I want to evolve like Madonna – if I had to be the fruity pin-up girl another day, I would jump off the Hollywood sign.”
