The MuchMusic Awards has a couple of heavy hitters lined up to perform this summer, when the Canadian video awards show airs on June 20th. The duo is not unfamiliar with each other however, as Perry famously “tapped that” earlier this year. It will probably showcase more from Bieber’s My World 2.0, his recently released sophomore and chart topping album. Perhaps Perry will perform her “California Gurls”, though it doesn’t really matter to me, Perry’s presence alone is the deal! Miley Cyrus – whose Can’t Be Tamed was recently released – is set to co-host the event.
Our kid-sister site BSCkids is the spot for more and comprehensive Bieber-coverage, including most recently, a Walmart Soundcheck sneak peak, a stint on the down under version of America’s Funniest Home Videos, and White House photo op with Kim Kardashian! We recently told you that Perry would be voicing smurfette in the upcoming film. As we told you before here at BSC, both artists (Perry and Bieber) will be taking part in the Today Show’s Summer concert series.
