After a whirlwind romance, engagement announcements, baby themed Tweets and pregnancy denials which included details about her monthly gift, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are celebrating their new engaged status with friends and family.

The happy couple was seen at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills, celebrating their new engagement with their 50 closest friends and family. Guests were treated to cocktails and a cake adorned with roses and a message, “Katy [Heart] Russell.” A source tells People, “They had a lovely soiree.”

Thank goodness Perry has denied those pregnancy rumours. All this sweetness would certainly trigger her gag reflex/morning sickness if she really were knocked up.
