Katy Perry is near set to release what is to be her second studio album later on this summer.
Into the studio Perry bought with her none other than the one and only Snoop Dogg to join her recording the track “California Gurls” which Katy Perry wrote as a west coast sort of anthem to combat and rebuttal Jay-Z’s hit song about New York “Empire State of Mind”. Which I think is safe to say we’ve all heard a few thousand times more than necessary by now: “I decided that we needed to make a response. I want people to want to book a ticket to California the first time they hear it.”
According to Spin Magazine Ms. Perry’s second studio effort will be entitled Teenage Dreams and is being prepared for a release this summer planing for the date of August 24.
