The comic revealed that the scene had been axed from the comedy because it was too “cheesy”.
He told MTV that he still hadn’t confessed to his wife-to-be: “I’ve not asked [what happened to the scene] because it’s slightly awkward, nor have I told her.”
“I think it might be because it would seem kind of cheesy to have her and I in the movie together.”
The couple first met when Perry filmed her cameo in the forthcoming movie, where Brand plays a debauched rocker.
Perry said at the time: “My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy -- I get a bit childlike.”
