Russell Brand has confirmed that a love-scene with fiancee Katy Perry has been dropped from his new movie, Get Him To The Greek because it was ‘too cheesy’ for viewers.

The comedian filmed the scene with Perry back in September before she officially started dating Russell but their on-screen romance has since been scrapped from the final movie.

The I Kissed A Girl singer starred as herself in the film, making the cameo in the sequel to Brand’s first movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall where he plays rocker Aldous Snow.Russell, who is set to wed Perry in India later this year has since insisted that it is best the loved-up couple does not share their romance with movie fans.

He told our US team: “I’ve not asked (what happened to the scene) because its slightly awkward, nor have I told her. I think it might be because it would seem kind of cheesy to have her and I in the movie together.”

Brand, who is set to reprise his role as Snow alongside Johan Hill, sees other cameos from Harry Potter star Tom Felton, Christina Aguilera, Pink and P Diddy also makes an appearance in the film, playing record label boss Sergio Roma.
