Poor Cheryl Cole has apparently been left feeling she looks “like a little boy” after comparing herself to curvy singer Katy Perry during X Factor auditions.

American Katy, who is standing in for Dannii Minogue who has just given birth to her first child, Ethan, flaunted her womanly figure in a tight silver dress during the Dublin auditions.

And Cheryl, who was wearing an all-in-one jumpsuit, reportedly felt unattractive and unwomanly next to Perry, who is engaged to British comedian Russell Brand.A source told Heat magazine: “Katy has the perfect figure in Cheryl’s eyes. She has great legs and amazing boobs. Seeing how great she looked made Cheryl feel like she’s become too thin. She even told a friend ‘I think I look like a little boy next to Katy’.”

Cheryl’s weight has been the subject of much speculation since her split with Ashley, which saw the singer’s dress size shrink considerably.

Today it was even revealed that Cole, who is said often rely on quick, unhealthy snacks to get her through her busy days, might have a weakened immune system because of her poor diet – which could be to blame for her slow recovery from malaria, which she was recently struck down with.

According to the source Cheryl has now vowed to improve her diet and eat well in a bid to boost her health and gain her famous curves back again.

“She’s eating porridge for breakfast, sandwiches and crisps for lunch and potatoes or rice with dinner – and she’s started eating chocolate again, which has even won Simon Cowell’s seal of approval. He told her he was pleased to see her eating normally again.”

Meanwhile Cheryl’s dad revealed that she is slowly getting better after being struck down with malaria following a trip to Tanzania – but it’s still unclear how long she will remain in hospital or need to take off work.
