Casual Dresses
While in New York, Katy Perry sat down with YouTube host Lisa Nova to answer some of her fans’ questions via her YouTube Channel. 20,000 viewers submitted their questions via the YouTube tool Moderator for the 30-minute clip titled “YouTube Presents An Interview With Katy Perry,” and 400,000 votes were cast to pick the top questions.
The queries ranged from “Has anyone who never liked you come crawling back to you after being famous?” and “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart,” she replied) to “What color nail polish do you plan on wearing on your wedding date?” and “What’s the next song you’re going to release?”
“I just shot the music video for the second video off of this record called ‘Teenage Dream’ which so happen to be a song called ‘Teenage Dream’,” Perry said in response to the latter. “It is gonna be completely different from ‘California Gurls.’ With ‘Teenage Dream’ you’ll see a very raw, almost vulnerable… I had to wear so many less layers of makeup.“I had to make out with a boy which was very traumatizing, I was kind of mean to him,” she added about the clip. “I would be the one to call cut because I was like, ‘oh I cant do this! I feel so horrible. But I know it’s a job. We understand what our work is.”
Perry answered more questions about her personal life, including about her upcoming marriage to comedian and former VMA host Russell Brand, and whether or not the couple plans on having children one day. “We are excited to get married, of course. And I think, in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is ‘Will he be a good baby daddy?’ And he’ll be perfect,” Perry answered.
Perry also said she is excited about the response she’s recieved on her chart-topping hit “California Gurls,” including the parody videos that are making rounds on the internet. “I actually welcome them. I do kind of take myself seriously when it’s appropriate to. But I know that ‘California Gurls’ is just a fun song, and I think if people are making parodies of your song, you’ve made it,” she said. “I love that stuff. I welcome it. I actually would like to see more of it.”
