I ALWAYS knew it wouldn’t take long for things to turn ugly between KATY PERRY and her ex TRAVIS McCOY.
The pair shared a volatile romance for years and now the GYM CLASS HEROES frontman has blasted Katy in his new song.
He’s also dragged her fiance RUSSELL BRAND into the saga.
Travis rants on about Katy supposedly being with another man and calls her a “little brat”.
In the bitter new song Don’t Pretend – from his new album Lazarus, out next month – he moans: “Little miss teary eyes you have no reason to lie to me/I finally realise why you can’t look eye to eye with me/And I knew about him the whole time/The hotels, phone calls, psshhh the whole nine.”Katy first met Russell during filming of his movie Get Him To The Greek in April last year. But they didn’t get together until after the MTV Video Music Awards in New York last September. Katy and Trav’s turbulent on/off relationship ended in June.
Don’t Pretend continues: “I guess that’s what friends are for. The only word that comes to mind is that your nothing but a little… brat.”
Travis has admitted the break-up with Katy gave him the inspiration to write music.
He said: “It could have been about my girlfriends before, but I’m going to keep it real with you – it was definitely about Katy Perry.
“I definitely felt a certain way about the whole situation. Having a year or so to reflect on it, you start questioning everything.”
And he admitted to being surprised by how quickly Katy and Russell decided to get married. He said: “The timelines? She got engaged so quickly after. I was like, ‘Really?’ I had to sit back and reassess what was really going on.
“After you have some time to start thinking about it, you start putting things together.”
Well, Katy’s got her album out next. Let’s see how she responds to this rather harsh public outburst.
