Katy Perry “I Haven’t Tamed Russell”

California Gurls singer Katy Perry insists she isn’t the one who has stopped Russell Brand’s womanizing ways.

The 25-year-old is engaged to marry the UK comedian and has laughed off claims that she put an end to his promiscuous lifestyle – saying that the funnyman was at the point in life when he himself was ready to settle down.

“We all start to slow down,” explained Katy as she spoke with the Guardian. “I think he was ready for change. I mean, you don’t have the stamina to be in bed with 80 different women a week when you’re 35 and trying to do good work.

“It’s not about taming, because that won’t last. Not everything stays perfect,” added the Teenage Dream hit maker – who revealed that her new album has love songs on it.

Katy also said that their different lifestyles don’t cause problems in their relationship.

“He knows that I’m young and have friends and a social life and he was attracted to me. Not, ‘Oh let’s find a version of myself in a female.’,” she said. “Every once in a while I need to remind him of that and he listens. It’s about communication.”
