SIMON Cowell’s wedding is back on, with Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole teaming up to organise his stag party.

Katy, 25, a guest X Factor judge on the new series, wants to host the party with pal Cheryl once she recovers fully from malaria.

Katy also wants to sing for Simon and his bride Mezhgan Hussainy when they finally tie the knot.

She said: “Simon’s wedding will be great. I am so glad he has finally settled down.

“I think there is still a chance the wedding could be this year from what I am hearing, so I have to start thinking about his wedding gift.

“What do you get the man who has everything?“I would love to sing for him and his guests at the wedding. That will be my gift to Simon and his wife.”

Katy, getting ready to marry comic Russell Brand later this year, is tipping Simon to become a dad too.

She said: “I think he will make a great dad, I really do. People see Simon’s professional head on TV but that’s what it is, his professional head. Underneath he is a real softie.

“I think he is finally mellowing and would make a great family man.

“I am not sure he will ever be a pipe and slippers man because he loves his work but I am convinced he will make a great dad and husband.”

Katy, who was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, yesterday for the MTV World Stage Live, is also looking forward to teaming up with Cheryl.

She added: “I really hope Cheryl is getting better. She is an absolute sweetheart and one of my favourite girls in the world.

“I think Simon should let me and Cheryl organise his bachelor party.

“I know it’s not custom to have girls at your bachelor party but I know Cheryl and I could organise one that he would never forget. It wouldn’t exactly be a bad thing to have us both there, would it?”

Simon, 51, and Mezhgan, 37, confirmed their engagement earlier this year during an interview on American comic Jay Leno’s talk show.

When asked if it was true he was engaged he stumbled: “Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy.”

It is believed Simon proposed to Mezhgan on Valentine’s Day and gave her a £250,000 diamond ring. Asked if they would marry this year, Cowell said only that he wanted a wedding “in the next ten years”.
