Katy Perry says she wouldn’t sleep with pop mogul Simon Cowell, even if it meant furthering her career by landing a role as an X Factor judge.

The 25-year-old, who is engaged to British Russell Brand, said: “I mean, nothing against Simon Cowell. He certainly has charisma coming from every pore.

“Simon has stopped so many suspect people from singing so perhaps we owe him a debt. But? shag him? No. I’m very happy with my charming Englishman. I have no need for another.

“No, not even for a permanent spot on The X Factor.”

Katy recently denied that she has tamed Russell since they began dating last year, but added that he is a good influence on her.
