Russell Brand, a.k.a. Mr. Katy Perry, appeared on British talk show Loose Women on Thursday, a chat show in the vein of The View, and had plenty to spill about his wife.
For starters, Brand described his newlywed existence with the pop singer as “just a normal marriage,” which is to say, it’s all about fun with gender stereotypes.
“The other day, I put a shirt on and she went: ‘You’re wearing that shirt, are you?’” Brand said. “I thought, ‘That’s happening? That’s a thing off a sitcom.’
“That happened in my life. I wasn’t allowed to wear it. If she says don’t wear that shirt, I don’t wear it.”Brand also pontificated about the powerful forces that brought him and Perry together.
“All of us, really, have a deep yearning within us for love,” Brand said. “Eventually you find a spiritual and emotional connection with someone, and I think it unifies with everyone.
“I think if you love one person it makes you love everyone. That’s how I feel. Katy gives me a lot to think about. I like it.”
