iTunes Top Singles of 2010 include Eminem, Katy Perry & Train

According to Variety.com, Eminem’s “Recovery” was the top album of 2010. Eminem is one of the top Grammy nominees for 2010, so it should come as no surprise that two of his singles, “Love the Way You Lie” and “Not Afraid” were among the top tracks downloaded this past year. Also among the top singles of 2010 were Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg, Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” and Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok.” Lady Antebellum also had a great year with their song “Need You Now” which made the top tracks on iTunes.

Although, Eminem had the top album for all of 2010 on iTunes, it was the group Train with the top-selling song of the year. “Hey, Soul Sister” is iTunes number one selling song for all of 2010. Now you can impress your friends and family at holiday parties with your musical knowledge! While these were the top selling singles for digital downloads on iTunes, that doesn’t necessarily put them on everyone’s Top 10 of 2010 list. AOL’s Radio Blog listed out their top 10 Best Songs for the year. You’ll notice that their top choice is Katy Perry, although Eminem came in second. B.o.B was given the third and fourth spots, so maybe it was his breakout year in terms of singles? Other choices include Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Bruno Mars, all of whom were not mentioned on iTunes top selling songs list for 2010.
