Matt Cardle Covers Katy Perry’s Firework

Matt Cardle has kicked off the X Factor final with his version of Katy Perry’s number one single, Firework.

Now, seeing as Katy Perry herself can’t even sing this song live, Matt’s got some serious kahunas to try it himself.

We found it pretty difficult to concentrate on Matt’s vocal as our attention was distracted by the hideous, fluorescent yellow trousers he was wearing.What’s the betting that Grace Woodward was having a laugh to herself backstage?!

Clothing aside, there were moments of Matt’s performance that were fantastic but some that seemed weak, as though he was struggling. However, we’re putting that down to his sore throat.
