MTV 2010′s Best Couples

Love bloomed in 2010. While some of the year’s celebrity hookups made sense, we have to admit that at least one of MTV News’ favorite couples of the year kind of had us scratching our heads, even if they do look adorable together. What was the trend for 2010 when it comes to love in the world of entertainment? Musicians love comedians!

Katy and Russell not only made our list of the best weddings of 2010, but their adorableness also landed them on the Best Couples of 2010 list. They kicked off the new year with their engagement and then quickly became a red carpet staple, hitting up the Grammy parties, goofing around about their relationship, with Perry calling Brand a “bridezilla,” and then hyping up each other’s projects, with Brand giving props to Perry’s “California Gurls.” The duo talked each other up throughout much of the year, culminating in their October wedding. And what better way to celebrate their love than withPerry taking Brand’s last name?
