Katy Perry: ‘My Husband is My Number One Priority’

Marriage is most important to Katy Perry.

The “E.T.” singer married British actor and comedian Russell Brand last October and she says he comes first.

“My husband is my number one priority. We have an amazing relationship,” she told Hits Radio according to Monsters and Critics.

“It’s important that I’m not always rushing around everywhere too much. I have to take the time to live life and have experiences,” she added.

Perry, currently on tour, is hoping to experience the world this time.“On the last tour it didn’t feel like I was really living. I’d be in Barcelona and people would be saying, ‘You must be loving it.’ And I was like, ‘All I’ve done is try the tomato soup from room service.’”

When Perry visits overseas she has a hint of some of the British slang she may encounter due to what she’s learned from her husband.

“Russell’s teaching me British slang and phrases now,” Perry continued to Hits Radio. “I say, ‘I’m dining out on that one mate,’ and say ‘bin’ instead of ‘trash’ and ‘holiday’ instead of ‘vacation’,” she added.

She says all she’s learned from Brand so far has become helpful.

she added, “I feel a connection to British people because of my husband. I could be left alone in the UK and get on OK.”.
