Katy Perry looks super chic in Nanette Lepore on the cover of Lucky magazine’s June 2010 issue, on newsstands this week!

The 25-year-old singer finished off her look with jewelry by Alexis Bittar, Phoenix Roze, Smith by Zoe Chicco and Rachel Leigh. Here’s what Katy had to share:

On her style evolution: “I’ve gone from Betty Boop to more Bettie Page. It’s less cute and more meow.”

On her first fashion moments: “I was completely broke. I used to borrow outfits, get my makeup done at makeup counters, and then sneak into events. It was cool! I seemed to be wearing things right.”

Katy Perry is our March cover girl!

Spring fashion is cooler and quirkier than ever, so who better to front our March style issue than Katy Perry, the pop tart with a twist. Besides being a talented singer and songwriter, she’s educated, thoughtful, and creates her scandals through lyrics, not tabloid covers.

Executive editor Stephanie Trong sat down with Ms. Perry in Los Angeles last month. Below, some highlights.

On her changing fashion aesthetic:
“Some of the kid shit I’ve grown out of completely… I’m taking it out of the Shirley Temple, Betty Boop, Lichtenstein kind of thing. It’s still fun, but a bit darker. It’s not as annoying. Sometimes, I feel like a big strawberry with a face on it.” • Read full story…

I have uploaded new photoshoots & a cover scan of Katy Perry in 2010 February issue of Glamour magazine.

On her hit song “I Kissed A Girl”: “I have a soft spot for women—I’m not afraid of it. Some women walk into the room, and they’re so beautiful and you’re like, ‘I wanna smell you,’ you know? I have certain girlfriends who I just think are the most angelic, beautiful creatures. And if any of my boyfriends ever fail me, I’ll turn to them!”

On relationships: “I’m excited to find a partner who can just be my teammate. And there’s got to be respect. For me, that’s hard because it’s easy for me to steamroll guys. I need a man who tells me the party’s over, that it’s time to go home, because [we] have to work in the morning.”

On her beau, British funnyman Russell Brand: “When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hope like a bunny when I’m happy—I get a bit childlike.”

On awkward guy encounters: “When I was meeting people in L.A., guys always thought if they paid for dinner, they deserved a blow job. But generally, I’ll say this—and I’ll say it proudly—I can’t sleep with someone if I don’t have a connection with them.

On feeling vulnerable: “I have always been this character, but I kind of cartoon-ized myself a little bit [in my stage persona]. So when someone really likes me, it’s like here comes a person! I wonder if you can handle this.”
