Categories Filed: She’s definitely one of the sexiest ladies in pop music, but Katy Perry says she draws the line at stripping down for Playboy.
The “California Gurls” songstress fielded the question directly on a YouTube interview and explained why she won’t be snapped in the buff.
“I think I would probably say no. That’s like showing all your cards and I always want to keep a couple of aces up my sleeve.”
“I think there’s a fine line between being a tease, and just giving it away. I like to be considered more of a tease, so unfortunately guys you’re never going to get it.”

Now here’s a present that’s really out of this world!
Katy Perry bought hubby-to-be Russell Brand a trip to outer space for his 35th birthday, via Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space venture.
“It is true,” Virgin Galactic rep Louella Faria tells E! News. “We are very excited to have him on board.”
This was one pricey present that Perry shelled out for. Seats on the Virgin mothership’s maiden voyage cost about $200,000. So what does that buy exactly?

The 25-year-old singer has been extremely busy in the past few months, promoting her new album Teenage Dream, shooting music videos and hosting several awards shows.
She is also trying to plan her upcoming wedding to British comedian Russell Brand and is struggling to find time to keep up with all her commitments.

Katy Perry has said that she believes Cheryl Cole is the best looking X Factor judge.
The American singer revealed that she got on well with the Girls Aloud singer while she was a guest panelist.
Perry told Q magazine: “The most gorgeous judge is Cheryl Cole. That woman is just edible.
“She kept calling me… what was it? Popette? ‘You’re a popette’.
“She kept saying that to me. Is that a compliment? It is?”

Even as a child popstar Katy Perry was very rebellious and enjoyed going against her Christian pastor parents’ will.
The 25-year-old singer admits that her parents have always been very strict to her, Contactmusic reported.
“Some people are fascinated with the idea of a great storyline, good girl, Christian parents, goes bad. My song ‘I Kissed A Girl’ provided the perfect storyline, so it’s entertaining for people. My parents were really strict at first, because they didn’t want me to turn out like a prostitute” Perry said.

American pop star Katy Perry has arrived for her much awaited gig at the MTV World Stage tomorrow at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach.
The 26-year-old Perry flew in from Los Angeles and showed no signs of jet lag upon arrival yesterday.
Perry said she looked forward to performing in Malaysia for the first time. She was then whisked away in a limousine.
This is also her first visit to Asia since making it big in the music scene with her chart-smashing debut album, One of the Boys, in 2008. • Read full story…

Katy Perry wants to live in London with her fiance Russell Brand.
The ‘California Gurls’ singer loves the UK capital – where Brand lived before heading to the US to be with Perry – because it is such an exciting city.
“I think I would probably go to London, and not just because of the fact I’ve got connections there, but because I like the constant evolution of the style and everything is so new,” she said.
“Sometimes I think I’d like to live in Japan but I don’t know how I would get on there because I don’t speak Japanese, I’d probably end up singing in the street with a little hat saying, ‘Please support me.’ ” • Read full story…

Popstar Katy Perry said that if she ever gets a chance to lock lips with a girl, she would do it with actress Natalie Portman.

So the insane British actor took to Twitter to apologize to both God and Katy Perry for shooting the drunken church scene in the remake of “Arthur.”
“I’m doing a pretend wedding in a real church while acting drunk,” he tweeted. “Forgive me, Lord.”

So, apparently Katy Perry, at least in her new song, thinks it’s awesome “You think I’m pretty / Without any makeup on / You think I’m funny / When I tell the punchline wrong.” To which I say, the hell without all that:
I realize I’m in the midst of a bout of humorlessness here, and it’s just a stupid pop song. I like me some Lady Gaga, and her lyrics aren’t Shakespeare either (though the nonsense chanting in “Bad Romance” has something compelling about it). But I kind of don’t care. The first part of the trope in Perry’s song, the whole “OMG he sees something about me that the rest of the world is too shallow to notice!” thing is simply annoying and incoherent. • Read full story…

Katy Perry has broken a US radio record for her new single ‘Teenage Dream’.
The song, which is also the title of Perry’s sophomore album, has been added to 87 radio stations over the course of a week – the highest number of adds for a song ever.
The track was released on Monday to US iTunes and has soared to number three, two places ahead of her last single ‘California Gurls’.
Her debut album One Of The Boys is also on course to return to the US album chart after rising to number five on iTunes.
Last month, Katy Perry broke the US airplay record after ‘California Gurls’ received 11,816 plays in a week – an everage of 90 plays per radio station.

While in New York, Katy Perry sat down with YouTube host Lisa Nova to answer some of her fans’ questions via her YouTube Channel. 20,000 viewers submitted their questions via the YouTube tool Moderator for the 30-minute clip titled “YouTube Presents An Interview With Katy Perry,” and 400,000 votes were cast to pick the top questions.
The queries ranged from “Has anyone who never liked you come crawling back to you after being famous?” and “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart,” she replied) to “What color nail polish do you plan on wearing on your wedding date?” and “What’s the next song you’re going to release?”
“I just shot the music video for the second video off of this record called ‘Teenage Dream’ which so happen to be a song called ‘Teenage Dream’,” Perry said in response to the latter. “It is gonna be completely different from ‘California Gurls.’ With ‘Teenage Dream’ you’ll see a very raw, almost vulnerable… I had to wear so many less layers of makeup. • Read full story…

The pop star admits she was too poor to take her dental hygiene seriously when she was a child, but Britney Spears videos made her start brushing religiously – and now she’s proud of her minty fresh breath and shining smile.
In a new YouTube.com interview, she says, “I brush my teeth all the time. I wanted them to be, like, Britney Spears-white. I used to grow up seeing her music videos and be like, ‘What does she do? Does she get a new set of teeth all the time? They’re so white.’
