KATY Perry has watched Back To The Future too much since her split from Russell Brand.

The singer is desperate to jump into Doc Brown’s DeLorean so she can change her decision to marry.

She said: “I’d like to use a time machine and go back to a specific date, please.”

Despite being spotted with model Baptiste Giabiconi, Katy insisted she has been living like a nun. She added: “I feel like an 80-year-old in an assisted-living condo.”

She also wants to sing miserable songs like The Smiths.

She said: “My music is about to get real f****** dark.

“You’d never see my face because my hair would be in it.”

Much like her pop-star peers, Katy Perry cites Madonna as a big influence, especially on her “Part of Me” 3-D concert movie, which hits theaters July 5, which was partially inspired by the Queen of Pop’s 1991 film “Truth or Dare.”

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, the always-colorful starlet spoke about her upcoming big-screen adventure and how “Truth or Dare” led to its creation.

On Monday, we reported that Priyanka Chopra would be “spending quality time” with international pop star Katy Perry, who performed at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL), on April 3. And now, the latest news is that Katy and PC not only met — apparently for a two-hour lunch at Beyond Indus at the Taj Coromandel in Chennai — but they also went shopping at a local market.

“Katy wanted to buy some ethnic stuff and she mentioned that to Priyanka when they met. So PC decided to take her shopping. I’m not like, “Ugh, number one again.” It’s funny, though—my label gets so caught up in the statistics, just because they’re excited. But for me, I don’t need to grind it into anyone’s head that I’m popular. If you like my music, great, and if you don’t, whatever. I’m going to keep making it either way. This does feel a bit like the record that never ends. But I wanted to release The Complete Confection for the hard-core fan who wants everything: three new songs, the remixes, and it’s all in a cute little package.

TEEN VOGUE: Were you thinking along those same lines when you decided to make the movie?

KATY PERRY: I wanted to document the tour, because when we started to book these really big venues, I felt like I was going all in. And I figured that by the end of it I’d be bankrupt or else I’d look like the smartest music businesswoman of my age, and I thought either outcome would be interesting. More than that, though, I wanted to show people this parade that surrounds me … I wanted them to see the engine. I think sometimes they look at me and wonder, How is it possible that she continues to have this kind of success? Why are the stars so aligned for her? But, while that is a factor, it’s not the whole story. I also work my tail off! And, of course, I wanted people to be able to experience the tour and all the joy it brought, which is why we shot it in 3-D. And this is amazing 3-D.It’s definitely not just a marketing tool.

TEEN VOGUE: Were you inspired by other pop documentaries, like Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never or Madonna’s Truth or Dare?

KATY PERRY: A little.Madonna is everything to me, and that movie is amazing because it caught her at a time when she was a bit more vulnerable. I wanted to do that too, to capture a snapshot of who I am now so that I can remind myself what I’ve lost if I ever do become totally jaded. [Laughs]

The “Part of Me” singer threw fans for a loop Wednesday by tweeting an ambiguous message about her current relationship status.

“Just ate a ton of garlic, heard it’s an immune booster #hopeitwerks #mandeflecter #singleandsatisfied,” she wrote, sneaking in the last phrase as a subtle jab at rumors she’s currently dating French model Baptiste Giabiconi.

Perry, 27, and Giabiconi, 22, reportedly the world’s highest-paid male model, were first spotted gallavanting together throughout Paris during fashion week.

And on Sunday, Giabiconi fueled rumors that the two are currently dating by tweeting a shot of the two of them looking cozy with the caption “hey my #littlekats u look So amazing in this pics !” • Read full story…

Katy Perry has been criticized by a feminist author for her latest music video.

The singer’s visual for new single ‘Part of Me’ sees her joining the US Marines after discovering that her partner had cheated on her.

However, Naomi Wolf – who admitted that she used to be a fan of Perry – has criticized the star for the pro-military message included in the video.

Wolf stated on her official Facebook page:”Have you all seen the Katy Perry marines video? It is a total piece of propaganda for the Marines… I really want to find out if she was paid by them for making it… it is truly shameful.

“I would suggest a boycott of this singer who I really liked – if you are as offended at this glorification of violence as I am.”

Much has been made about who the subject of Katy Perry’s latest hit, “Part of Me,” might be. Is it her ex-husband, Russell Brand, or, given that she wrote it a while back, her other famous ex, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy?

Does it even matter? The song is an emotional breakup anthem that just about anyone can relate to; set to a 130-beat-per-minute house beat, it’s sure to have club kids the world over dancing their faces off.

With the military-themed video for “Part of Me” premiering as part of “MTV First: Katy Perry” on Wednesday (March 21) at 7:23 p.m. ET on MTV, we decided to take an in-depth look at the song to let you know what it’s all about.

“Part of Me” was written two years ago during Perry’s sessions for Teenage Dream. Perry co-wrote the song with Bonnie McKee and the writing/production team behind Dream’s biggest hits, Dr. Luke and Max Martin (“Teenage Dream,” “Last Friday Night,” “The One That Got Away”).

While she reportedly did rework the lyrics after a demo of the track leaked online, Perry told MTV News recently that the kiss-off track is not directly about her relationship with Brand. “Some people that I work with were like, ‘You should just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not a d—, I’m going to tell the truth,’ ” she said. “I wrote it two years ago when I was writing and recording Teenage Dream, [but] it didn’t feel right on the record. Having ruled the music charts and won every prestigious award from the Billboard to the Brit, the pop princess has jumped onto the IPL bandwagon. She will now be performing at the Opening Night to be held at the YMCA Grounds, Chennai, on April 3, 2012.

Having toured around the world and now making her debut performance in India, Katy will help flag off the latest season of the cricketing league in her trademark style.

Katy Perry “bolted” out of a London nightclub when she heard Russell Brand was about to arrive.

The ‘Part of Me’ singer was enjoying an evening at Mayfair hangout Mahiki in a private room, but when someone told her Russell – who split from Katy after 14 months of marriage in December 2011 – was on her way, she quickly left so as to avoid an “awkward run-in”.

A source told the Metro newspaper: “She wanted to spend the night singing in the room as it’s where her best friend Rihanna normally comes to play when she’s in town.

Katy Perry recently talked with Radio 1 about an upcoming collaboration with BFF, Rihanna. Last week, Rihanna said that a duet between the two was inevitable, but it all came down to timing and the right song. Perry echos the same sentiment, explaining, “We’ve collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet. It’s one of those things that’s got so much build up that we have to deliver.”

Perry goes on to that say she would prefer the song be an epic mash-up as opposed to “Beautiful Liar,” by Superstar Beyonce and Latin sensation Shakira, which failed to impress.

“I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song ‘Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves,’ not like ‘Beautiful Liar.’ I definitely want to do something that is so iconic.”

Perry continues, “Rihanna’s kind of busy too. We’re both busy but we planted the seed two years ago. How disappointed would you be if that song came out and it’s no good? Sometimes you have to wait for greatness.”
