Russell Brand is notorious for his once-wild lifestyle and attempts to change his bad boy ways. But according to a report in the newest issue of Us Weekly, Brand allegedly wasn’t able to kick all of his bad habits. Since Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage, reports have surfaced suggesting that the actor/comedian wasnever sexually satisfied by his pop star wife.

“Katy was kinky enough during their first times together and he was very attracted to her,” a source claimed. “When things got bad, if they got a roll in the hay, they were always better after,” the insider added.

But apparently Russell’s sexual appetite became too much for Katy to keep up with. Brand, a recovering sex addict, actually has an erotic award named after him in U.K.’s The Sun — ‘The Russell Brand Shagger of the Year Award.’

The US Weekly article goes on to name several other sources of tension between the now estranged couple. Apparently Katy’s busy schedule left Russell feeling neglected and lonely. Russell, a recovering alcohol and drug addict, reportedly also had a hard time dealing with Katy’s partying ways. According to the report, Brand was ready to start a family, while Katy insisted she was too busy.

Sources also alleged that Brand was never supportive of Katy’s career. “She had so many things going on this year and there were so many times he wasn’t there,” a source said. “He told her she wasn’t funny [when she hosted SNL] and he was totally uninterested [when he sat front row at her last concert]. He seemed annoyed he was there. I don’t think he sat through one whole song.”

The world’s leading Hindus have expressed their dismay at the end of Russell Brand and Katy Perry’s marriage, insisting the pair should have worked harder to stay together.

Brand announced plans to divorce the pop star, citing “irreconcilable differences,” on Friday and religious leaders in the U.S. have gone public with their feelings about the split.

The couple underwent an elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony in October, 2010, in Rajasthan, India, and the religion’s leaders feel the celebrities have given their faith a bad name.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed tells WENN, “They should have taken marriage more seriously as it is a sacred rite in Hinduism.”

Zed, who is president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, adds, “In Hinduism, marriage is the most important sacrament. The married couple is looked upon as a complete module for worship and participation in cultural and social acts.

“If celebrities opt for a Hindu wedding, they should be prepared to adhere to the commitment, devotion, responsibility, sanctity and morals, which are attached to it. There are reasons why Hindus, as a group, have one of the lowest divorce rates in the world.”

Heartbroken Katy has been confiding in pal Rihanna, 23, since Russell filed for divorce after just 14 months of marriage.

The two singers have cleared their schedules to go away this month.

A source said:“Rihanna has been there for Katy, texting her from Miami where she’s on holiday. Now they are planning a girlie getaway so Katy can clear her head.”

Russell, 36, is said to have split from Katy over claims she did not want to have children. The source continued:“Katy is absolutely devastated, but the rows over starting a family had just come to a head. Yes she had agreed to take a year out to focus on children, but she realised the timing was all wrong.

Katy Perry WANTED Russell Brand to file the court papers in their divorce … because she didn’t want to upset her religious parents … sources connected to the former couple tell TMZ. 

We’re told … Katy and Russell knew the relationship was on the rocks a couple of months ago — but didn’t want to give up on the marriage without making a concerted effort to work things out. 

But the effort fell flat … with both sides feeling “it just wasn’t there.”

We’re told both Katy and Russell were on board with the divorce a few weeks ago — but they didn’t want to be in town when the papers were filed … so he went back to England and she booked it to Hawaii. 

Since Katy’s parents are evangelical Christians, we’re told she didn’t want to be the one to “officially” end the marriage by filing the docs … since she was raised to believe divorce is wrong. 

After he filed the docs, Russell released a statement Friday insisting the two will “remain friends.”

Brand, 36, star of the movie “Get Him to the Greek”, and U.S. pop star Perry, 27, met in 2008 and married on October, 2010 in a lavish wedding in India.

The irreverent, former drug addict and the perky Christian-raised singer of international hits like “California Gurls” and “Firework” seemed an unlikely match, but they quickly became one of the most high-profile couples in the entertainment industry.

In recent weeks however, celebrity media reported that their marriage was in trouble.

A source confirms to E! News that Katy and Russell have been having “problems” and that they’ve been spending “a lot of time apart,” including Christmas.

Sure enough, the “Teenage Dream” singer was spotted swimming sans her hubby in Hawaii over the holiday weekend while Russell was reportedly in England.

Our source adds that things began getting tense between the two in early December and that Katy has been “a mess” about it at times.

Singer Katy Perry may have missed her chance to play Marilyn Monroe in the movie ‘My Week With Marilyn’. However, now she could get to do it in a Broadway musical by the same name. What’s more, an important Hollywood star’s interested in sharing the stage with her.

Perry hasn’t said yes as of yet. However, many people believe she will. As for the star who is willing to share the stage with her. That’s Kenneth Branagh who played the part of Sir Laurence Olivier in the film. He’s eager to reprise it on stage.

Branagh had this to say about his association with the musical. “I think if Harvey (Weinstein) sees it as a musical, then I think there’s going to be something amazing come out of it.
