Having already been named the hottest woman around by Maxim, Katy Perry has very little left to prove as far as sex appeal to the gents is concerned.

So for the cover of her third studio album, Teenage Dream, the betrothed pop princess went ahead and had fun with her naughty-angel reputation, stretching out on a strategically placed cloud and leaving all clothing and accessories—including her halo—behind.

And in keeping with her retro-girly vibe, the lips are red, the hair is ’40s-pinup perfect, and the cloud is cotton-candy pink! Oh, and this cover isn’t some mere photo, it’s a portrait painted by contemporary artist Will Cotton.

Pop superstar Katy Perry, who grew up in Santa Barbara, has come back to shoot her latest video.

Perry currently has the number one song in America, “California Gurls,” according to the Billboard Magazines Hot 100 chart. She has held that spot for six weeks. Perry also had a number one hit with, “I Kissed a Girl,” in 2008.

Sources involved in the shoot tell KEY News Perry has been shooting scene at the Goleta Beach, the Carrillo Recreation Center gymnasium, a local hotel, and in the Santa Barbara “Funk Zone.” • Read full story…

Katy Perry has made it known that she wants to be “one of those … teenage wet dreams,” and her “California Gurls” video has certainly set the bar high for the singer, who is set to release her new album, Teenage Dream, next month. So for “Teenage Dream,” the album’s second single, Perry headed to the beach.

In photos taken from the video shoot for the title track, Perry is seen canoodling with a hot guy in a hotel pool in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. The guy is rumored to be actor Josh Kloss. In another still, leaked online, a bikini-clad Perry is kneeling in the sand, looking up at a scantily clad man, presumably Kloss.

Perry tweeted about the clip as well, writing, “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] Yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!!
