Eminem holds the #1 position on next week’s Billboard’s Hot 100 for a second week in a row with “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna. Katy Perry’s former #1, “California Gurls,” holds at #2, while Taio Cruz advances one spot from 4-3 with “Dynamite.” Further down the Top 10, Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire” rebounds 7-5, and Enrique Iglesias’s “I Like It” jumps 8-6. Elsewhere in the chart, Usher leaps 7 spots from 19-12 with his new single, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” while Katy Perry has the week’s Hot Shot Debut with the title track from her upcoming album, “Teenage Dream,” entering at #20.

Katy Perry wants to live in London with her fiance Russell Brand.

The ‘California Gurls’ singer loves the UK capital – where Brand lived before heading to the US to be with Perry – because it is such an exciting city.

“I think I would probably go to London, and not just because of the fact I’ve got connections there, but because I like the constant evolution of the style and everything is so new,” she said.

“Sometimes I think I’d like to live in Japan but I don’t know how I would get on there because I don’t speak Japanese, I’d probably end up singing in the street with a little hat saying, ‘Please support me.’ “Although Perry is keen to become an Anglophile she isn’t sure if she could cope with the city’s rainy weather.

In an interview on YouTube, Perry – who is from Santa Barbara, California – said: “I’d probably eat my words if I was living in London because I can’t stand the weather, I’m such a sunshine girl. If the sun comes out I come out, if the sun doesn’t come out you won’t see me. I’m a California girl!”

Perry also lifted the lid on her wedding plans and revealed she isn’t planning on having any crazy make-up when she and Brand tie the knot.

“I’m kind of a nail aficionado and sometimes I’ll have pictures of my cat on my nails and I had Oompa-Loompas on my nails when I had a Willy Wonka-themed birthday party,” she said.

“For my wedding I’m going to do what I call wedding nails which is basically traditional and pretty. Because you see those photos where you’re holding each other’s hands and I don’t know if I’d like Oompa-Loompas on my nails while taking my photos. So I’m going to have wedding white nails.”

Perry also revealed she thinks Brand, 35, will be a great father when they eventually have children.

“We’re excited to get married, of course. I think in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is would they be a good baby daddy and he’ll be perfect,” Perry said.

Katy Perry wants to clone herself so she doesn’t have to work so hard.

The 25-year-old singer has been extremely busy in the past few months, promoting her new album Teenage Dream, shooting music videos and hosting several awards shows. She is also trying to plan her upcoming wedding to British comedian Russell Brand and is struggling to find time to keep up with all her commitments.

Katy has now joked that she is desperate for someone else who looks like her to share her ever-increasing workload.“Sometimes I wish I was a twin… Or could make a clone. I need more than 24 hours a day!!! Oy vey. #alotgoingon!!! (sic),” Katy wrote on her Twitter page.

Katy has taken to the social networking site several times in the past few days to complain about her busy lifestyle. Her frequent travelling has left her exhausted and unable to sleep, but Katy is determined to remain upbeat.

“Jet lag is my middle name,” she wrote.

Popstar Katy Perry said that if she ever gets a chance to lock lips with a girl, she would do it with actress Natalie Portman.

The 25-year-old singer has a crush on The Other Boleyn Girl star and thinks it would be incredible to kiss her, FemaleFirst reported online.

“I used to want to kiss Megan Fox, but now she’s married and I’m not so sure about that anymore. Probably Natalie Portman now -she’s hot and smart,” Perry said.However, the I Kissed A Girl admits she is not too comfortable with the thought of posing naked for a men’s magazine like Playboy.

“I think I would probably say no because that’s like showing all your cards and I always want to keep a couple of aces up my sleeve and, plus, I think there’s a fine line between being a tease and just giving it away. I like to be considered more of a tease, so unfortunately guys you’re never
going to get it,” Perry said.

Even Russell Brand knows you don’t want to mess around too much with the man upstairs (or your wife).

So the insane British actor took to Twitter to apologize to both God and Katy Perry for shooting the drunken church scene in the remake of “Arthur.”

“I’m doing a pretend wedding in a real church while acting drunk,” he tweeted. “Forgive me, Lord.”

Then he sent the Tweet to Katy Perry. While God is not a known Twitter user, Katy Perry is. “RUSSELL EDWARD BRAND!” she replied in all caps. You know it’s not a good thing when they use the whole name.Brand seems to be having a grand old time in the remake of the classic movie which features Helen Mirren in the role of his nanny and Jennifer Garner as the fiance for the wayward man-boy. He’s been spotted around town in a full-blown Batman outfit. And he had some fun in the back of St. Bart’s Church in Manhattan — sending out the photo of himself mugging in the priest attire.

He wrote of this: “My time in the church has made me consider my future.” While a career change to the priesthood is unlikely, we can guarantee some laughs in Arthur.

Brand was spotted stumbling out of the church in nothing but blue and purple underwear and socks. God is not going to be happy about all of this.

Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream Isn’t Mine

So, apparently Katy Perry, at least in her new song, thinks it’s awesome “You think I’m pretty / Without any makeup on / You think I’m funny / When I tell the punchline wrong.” To which I say, the hell without all that:

I realize I’m in the midst of a bout of humorlessness here, and it’s just a stupid pop song. I like me some Lady Gaga, and her lyrics aren’t Shakespeare either (though the nonsense chanting in “Bad Romance” has something compelling about it). But I kind of don’t care. The first part of the trope in Perry’s song, the whole “OMG he sees something about me that the rest of the world is too shallow to notice!” thing is simply annoying and incoherent. But really? The whole, “you’re cute even though you’re dumb thing” feels a little gross. Sure everyone’s been kind of awkward at some point. But for every girl out there who hears this song and recognizes herself in the tight jeans is a teen or ‘tween who wishes someone would notice that she’s smart, and funny, even if she hasn’t gotten the jeans thing figured out, and is annoyed that some dude is hanging all over some chick who has left her brain in the book compartment of her locker. It’s a sour little line that curdles the fantasy. And the hook and chorus aren’t nearly compelling enough to pull me back into it.

Katy Perry has broken a US radio record for her new single ‘Teenage Dream’.

The song, which is also the title of Perry’s sophomore album, has been added to 87 radio stations over the course of a week – the highest number of adds for a song ever.

The track was released on Monday to US iTunes and has soared to number three, two places ahead of her last single ‘California Gurls’.

Her debut album One Of The Boys is also on course to return to the US album chart after rising to number five on iTunes.

Last month, Katy Perry broke the US airplay record after ‘California Gurls’ received 11,816 plays in a week – an everage of 90 plays per radio station.

While in New York, Katy Perry sat down with YouTube host Lisa Nova to answer some of her fans’ questions via her YouTube Channel. 20,000 viewers submitted their questions via the YouTube tool Moderator for the 30-minute clip titled “YouTube Presents An Interview With Katy Perry,” and 400,000 votes were cast to pick the top questions.

The queries ranged from “Has anyone who never liked you come crawling back to you after being famous?” and “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart,” she replied) to “What color nail polish do you plan on wearing on your wedding date?” and “What’s the next song you’re going to release?”

“I just shot the music video for the second video off of this record called ‘Teenage Dream’ which so happen to be a song called ‘Teenage Dream’,” Perry said in response to the latter. “It is gonna be completely different from ‘California Gurls.’ With ‘Teenage Dream’ you’ll see a very raw, almost vulnerable… I had to wear so many less layers of makeup.“I had to make out with a boy which was very traumatizing, I was kind of mean to him,” she added about the clip. “I would be the one to call cut because I was like, ‘oh I cant do this! I feel so horrible. But I know it’s a job. We understand what our work is.”

Perry answered more questions about her personal life, including about her upcoming marriage to comedian and former VMA host Russell Brand, and whether or not the couple plans on having children one day. “We are excited to get married, of course. And I think, in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is ‘Will he be a good baby daddy?’ And he’ll be perfect,” Perry answered.

Perry also said she is excited about the response she’s recieved on her chart-topping hit “California Gurls,” including the parody videos that are making rounds on the internet. “I actually welcome them. I do kind of take myself seriously when it’s appropriate to. But I know that ‘California Gurls’ is just a fun song, and I think if people are making parodies of your song, you’ve made it,” she said. “I love that stuff. I welcome it. I actually would like to see more of it.”

Katy Perry brushes her teeth at least three times daily because she never wants to be accused of having bad breath.

The pop star admits she was too poor to take her dental hygiene seriously when she was a child, but Britney Spears videos made her start brushing religiously – and now she’s proud of her minty fresh breath and shining smile.

In a new YouTube.com interview, she says, “I brush my teeth all the time. I wanted them to be, like, Britney Spears-white. I used to grow up seeing her music videos and be like, ‘What does she do? Does she get a new set of teeth all the time? They’re so white.’

“I’m really anal about that because I like good breath. A turn off for me with guys is, like, halitosis… I’m the kind of friend that’s like, ‘Stick a piece of gum in your mouth, ‘cos I’m gonna save some friendships for you.’“I’ll brush my teeth (after) breakfast, lunch and dinner… I did have 13 cavities at one time, so you can imagine why I’m so freaked out. When I was a kid I didn’t really go to the dentist a lot… and when I finally went, they were like, ‘You might as well get a new set of teeth’.”

But, despite all her efforts, Perry fears she’ll never have the perfect smile.

She explains, “I have really jacked-up bottom teeth and I went to dentist to try and get it fixed… Thank God my lower lip covers my top lip… I don’t grin from ear to ear because I’m embarrassed.”

Two weeks ago, Katy Perry took to YouTube asking her fans to submit questions for a Q&A session. And they did, flooding the site with more than 20,000 queries about, well, pretty much everything.

On Tuesday (July 27), Perry took a stab at actually responding to a fraction of them in a 30-minute interview that finally gave us answers to such burning questions as “What is your favorite food?” (beets and arugula), “What girl would you like to kiss?” (“Natalie Portman — she’s hot and smart”), and, perhaps most importantly, “Would you ever consider posing for Playboy?” (“I would probably say no”).

She also fielded more than a few inquiries about her personal life, including one about her upcoming marriage to comedian and former VMA host Russell Brand, and whether or not the couple planned on having children one day.“We are excited to get married, of course. And I think, in marriage, when you’re picking a partner, one of the things to keep in mind is ‘Will he be a good baby daddy?’ And he’ll be perfect,” Perry said.

She then revealed that at her wedding, she plans to keep things a bit demure, at least when it comes to her nails.

“I’m kind of a nail aficionado and freak … I think for my wedding I’ll do what is called ‘wedding nails,’ where it’s traditional and pretty,” she laughed. “I don’t know if I’d want, like, Oompa Loompas on my nails while taking my pictures.”

Very important to know. Perry was also asked by a fan if there was one thing people didn’t know about her that would be shocking to find out, and, ever the champ, she responded with two of them.

“I’m pretty much an open book … well, my boobs are real, just wanted to cover all that,” she said. “And I brush my teeth all the time. I wanted them to be, like, Britney Spears white. I used to grow up seeing her music videos, like, ‘What does she do? Does she get a new set of teeth all the time? They’re so white!’ ”

Perry also said that she’s blown away by the public’s response to her smash hit “California Gurls,” especially all the parody videos that have popped up in its wake. She watches as many of them as she can, and she’s still looking for more.

“I actually welcome them. I do kind of take myself seriously when it’s appropriate to, with different songs … but I know that ‘California Gurls’ is just a fun song, and I think that if people are making parodies of your song, you’ve made it,” she explained. “And I think we’re only a couple of states away from having all 50 states in the U.S.A. to be parodied … I love that stuff. I welcome it. I actually want to see more of it.”

Glee Guys To Co-Host Awards With Katy Perry

Good news for all Glee fans out there as the shows hot boys will be co-hosting this year’s Teen Choice Awards with the lovely, not to mention gorgeous Katy Perry.

Usmagazine.com have exclusively revealed that the California Gurls star will be joined by Chris Colfer (Kurt), Mark Salling (Puck), Kevin McHale (Artie) and Cory Monteith (Finn) as she hosts the awards ceremony on August 9.

Acts slated to perform at the event include Jason Derulo and Katy’s ex-boyfriend, Travis McCoy. Maybe Katy asked for the Glee boys to be there for back up?!

Robert Pattinson, Leighton Meester and the Kardashian sisters are also set to attend. We wonder if KStew will accompany her rumoured beau down the red carpet?
