Katy Perry’s Father Preaches on Family
There’s no question where Katy Perry gets her enthusiasm and ability to move crowds — it’s from her father.
Keith Hudson, a preacher for 39 years, said his daughter has been singing since she was born.
“Well, it`s great,” Hudson said. “A father always wants the success of their children. You know, always. It`s great, but it has it`s ups and downs.”
On Sunday for Father’s Day, Hudson got to share his experience as a the father of a celebrity with Hope C-3 Church in Colleyville, Texas “When we go a lot of places, we have the opportunity to meet a lot of guarded and gated people, high fashion people, singers, entertainers,” Hudson said. “A lot of people look at us and say, you`re ministers. And, it gives us an opportunity to share the love of Jesus.”
Perry actually began her music career as a gospel singer under the name “Katy Hudson.”
She later burst onto the pop scene with a new name and a new persona.
“And she`s singing to 20-thousand young people,” Hudson said. “They were pressed against the fence and it was almost like church, they had their hands just like this. And, they were singing every one of her songs and all the words. And, they were pressing forth. The Lord said to me, Son, they want to be loved and they want to worship. But, they`re loving and worshiping the wrong thing.”
Although Perry’s style has changed, her father said there’s no job more important than loving your child, no matter how they live their life.
“I love her. She’s my daughter. We have a great relationship. Love will always win out. You don`t have to preach to them or give them scripture or get on them for things they do. Just love on them and let God do the work.”

Katy Perry Admits to Butt Injections
Katy Perry might not be the first celebrity that comes to mind when thinking of the babes known for their backsides, but the singer reportedly tried to change that by having a cocktail injected into her butt.
And of course she didn’t have a fruity cocktail that matches her food-themed outfits injected into her behind — it was composed of vitamin B, steroids and antibiotics.
Perry gets a lot of attention for her good looks and obviously enjoys the attention she gets for showing off her ample natural cleavage, so it’s rather surprising to find out that even she is insecure about her body. But at least she’s admitted to getting work done on her butt, and it’s probably a good thing that she opted for injections over butt implants (which probably feel like sitting on two full wallets). Katy Perry also has avoided speculation about whether she’s had major plastic surgery performed on her gluteus maximus by going for a small enhancement and won’t have to deal with the kinds of rumors about having a fake booty that Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and Coco hear so often (the breast implants rumor will continue, however).
Katy Perry had her injection while she was in India, so maybe perking up her backside was a wedding gift for Russell Brand (surprisingly, he hasn’t cracked any jokes about it yet). Oddly enough, the work millionaire Katy had done is something used by patients who cannot afford more expensive procedures — the injection basically just causes inflammation. And of course there’s a reason why it’s cheaper — it can cause thinning of the skin or form abscesses.
So hopefully Katy Perry’s butt lift doesn’t become the next big thing — she might have gone through with the procedure to try to look sexy, but celebrities rocking pockets full of pus on their butts would be anything but.

Katy Perry’s “Firework” To Be This Generation’s Anti-Gay Anthem?
The video for Katy Perry’s “Firework” is all about outcasts and underdogs and finding their voices, standing up for themselves, expressing themselves.
A full-figured teenage girl finds the courage to strip down to her underwear and jump in a pool filled with her peers. A sick child wanders the halls of a hospital and sees fireworks emanating from the most amazing places, including his own heart. A man takes a chance and kisses another man at a party.
Filmed in Budapest, “Firework” isn’t an overtly political video — but it’s all about acceptance and tolerance and celebrating our differences.Perry dedicated the video (which has nearly 200 million views on YouTube) to the “It Gets Better” campaign, which is dedicated to fighting harassment of gays and lesbians.
Which brings us to Michele Bachmann, the Republican presidential candidate who is fiercely anti-gay and was “glitter-bombed” by a lesbian activist as she left the stage at a conservative conference in Minneapolis over the weekend.
When Bachmann took to the stage at the RightOnline conference and received what CNN termed a “rock star” reception, the song that was playing? “Firework.”
Let the countdown begin to Katy Perry issuing a statement saying she’d really, really appreciate it if her song wasn’t associated with the Bachmann campaign.

Katy Perry’s Parents Condemn her Lifestyle While Cashing in on Her Eternal Damnation
For an hour, Keith Hudson has been pacing around the sanctuary of the Kings Road Church on the outskirts of London. He has been telling the congregation his story — thatSatan has lured his daughter away, that she has fallen. But that he must love her anyway. Must pray for her. Pretty typical stuff for a preacher — even an American one so far from home.
But then he stops short, ready to unleash his big pitch. With tears in his eyes, hollering at the top of his voice, he delivers his keynote with as much bombast as he can muster:“I kissed God — and I liked it!” Hold on a minute. Isn’t that a pop song? Who’d this guy steal that line from? His daughter, Katy Perry – who, unfortunately, thanks to her massively successful career and semi-Hindu husband, is most certainly going to hell.
Except for a circuit of evangelical churches, not many people cared about the Hudsons. Until four years ago that is, when their controversial daughter became an overnight sensation with that song, “I Kissed a Girl,” and Keith and Mary Hudson suddenly hit heavenly paydirt, touring on a circuit that took them to eight countries last year and even a date in the Poconos next month.
While publicly declaring concern over their wayward daughter — she is, they candidly admit, destined for hell — they brazenly use her fame for their own ends. Their services repeatedly namecheck Perry and her husband,Russell Brand, the English comic with a lurid past of drug addiction and rampant promiscuity. In his London sermon, it’s an odd mix of boastful exhilaration(“Anyone here heard of Russell Brand? He’s my son in law. I love Russell. He’s a wonderful man.”)and overwrought condescension(“We pray for him — pray for the entertainers.”).
To those who have witnessed Keith’s ministry in the past three years, it is a familiar story. Since Katy hit the big time he and Mary have spoken of little else. Yet despite their disapproval, they turn up at her shows — walk the red carpet at awards ceremonies and never tire of boasting about their celebrity connections.
At the time of Katy Perry’s start, her parents were disgusted, with her mother declaring:“We cannot cut her out of our lives as she is our child, but she knows we disagree strongly with what she is doing and the message she is promoting regarding homosexuality, which the Bible clearly states is a sin.”
While the Hudsons do not generally request a fee for their appearances, they’re happy to sell their books, and like their other missionary work, whenever the Hudsons show up to preach, they’re able to declare all of theirtravel expenses as part of their tax-deductible missionary work. “They were coming to their daughter’s concert in London and rang up to say they’d like to preach at our church,” he says.“They turned up 10 minutes before the service began and just jumped up and got on with it.To be quite honest, one or two people in our church didn’t take to them. They felt these people were cashing in on their daughter’s fame. But a lot of young people turned up because of the Katy Perry connection and five of them made a fresh commitment to God that day.” (more…)
